BG AE03 Intake Adaptor, PN E101-1541
INSTRUCTIONS
Wear safety goggles to protect your eyes.
Wear Nitrile®, Neoprene® or PVC gloves to protect your hands.
Wear a long-sleeved shirt to protect your arms.
IMPORTANT! Read product Safety Data Sheet before use. Make sure this service is performed in a well-ventilated area.
CAUTION! Never use a throttle depressor to keep the engine above idle during service.
  1. Add BG Platinum™ 44K® to fuel tank.
  2. For best results, add BG Platinum™ 44K® to a full tank of gas. If the tank is not full, fill it up after the service.
  3. Fill supply tool with BG Platinum™ Air Intake, Valve & Combustion Chamber Cleaner.
    CAUTION! This cleaner will damage paint and certain plastic materials.
  4. Verify the BG AE03 Intake Adaptor, PN E101-1541, is tightly attached to supply hose on one end and the ⅜” jumper hose on the other end.
  5. Locate and remove vacuum line from the intake port.
  6. Connect the adaptor to the intake port using the supplied jumper hose.
  7. Rotate the adaptor vent cap so arrow is pointing upward. Make sure air flow is not restricted and the holes on the adaptor remain uncovered.
  8. Start engine and allow vehicle to warm up to operating temperature.
  9. Open ball valve on supply hose.
    IMPORTANT! While performing the service, rev the engine (snap throttle) quickly three times every 45 seconds. This will ensure that any cleaner accumulation has cleared.
    Warning! Failure to rev the vehicle during the service may result in engine damage!
  10. The adaptor will administer 22 oz. (650 mL) of cleaner in 25–40 minutes depending on engine vacuum. When supply tool is empty, close ball valve and allow the engine to idle for 15 minutes.
  11. Add a second 22 oz. (650 mL) can of cleaner to the supply tool and open the ball valve.
  12. When supply tool is empty, close ball valve and turn engine off.
  13. Remove the adaptor and reinstall vacuum line.
  14. Immediately test drive the vehicle for at least 15 minutes to clear any residual product. Clear any codes that may have set.
    Warning! Failure to test drive the vehicle after service may result in engine damage!
