- Cover the area surrounding the headlight area with masking tape and paper. Apply two layers of tape around the edge of the headlight for added protection. Tape down the other edges of the paper as well.
- Sand the entire surface of the headlight with the sanding block. Some headlights will have a yellow layer; others will have a cloudy layer, both of which have to be completely sanded off.
- With 600-grit side sandpaper and water, wet-sand the headlight surface until residue no longer appears on the sandpaper.
- With 1000-grit sandpaper and water, wet-sand the headlight until the surface is smooth.
- Wipe the dust from the headlight surface with the white towel.
- Shake the BG Quick Cure® Headlight Restoration Sealant aerosol can for 30 seconds. Spray an even coat over the entire headlight surface, sweeping left to right. Allow the coat to dry for about two to three minutes. In low temperature or high humidity conditions, use a heat gun to remove cloudiness.
- Apply a second coat evenly over the entire surface. Allow it to dry for two to three minutes. Repeat with heat gun if necessary..
- Repeat Steps 1 through 7 for the second headlight, then remove tape and paper using caution not to touch headlights.
