  1. Set up a drill with a 1/4˝ bit that is taped off or contains a stop so that it cannot go deeper than 1/4˝.
  2. Locate the drain port for the evaporator box located under the vehicle and be sure it is open and will drain properly. Place a pan under the port to capture the debris that will be removed by the cleaning process.
  3. Locate blower assembly and verify that the A/C evaporator is the next apparatus downstream from the blower. This assembly may be under the hood on the firewall or inside under the dash.
  4. In the neck area between the blower and the evaporator drill a 1/4˝ diameter hole as close to the evaporator as possible. The hole should be located in an out-of-the-way place and can be located on the top, side or bottom areas.
  5. Use a 3/8˝ wrench to install insert adaptor into the hole in the plastic. The adaptor is self-tapping and should thread in easily.
  6. Shake can of BG Frigi-Clean® vigorously before using. Connect hose from the can to the threaded adaptor.
  7. Start vehicle and turn A/C to maximum cold and blower on highest speed. Set to “Outside Vent” instead of “Recirculate.” Holding can of BG Frigi-Clean® upright, depress dispenser button on top of can to install product. The blower may begin to squeak before the can is empty. Release the button on the can until the squeaking has stopped and then proceed.
  8. Allow A/C system to run for one minute, then shut down engine to allow evaporator to soak in the foamy cleaner. At this time remove the can hose from the threaded adaptor and either:
    1. Remove the threaded adaptor with a 3/8˝ wrench and install the black plug into the hole.
    2. Or leave the threaded adaptor installed and screw on the black cap to seal.
    3. Or leave hose attached to the threaded adaptor and remove top from the can. Tape hose in a convenient spot out of sight until the next service.
  9. Allow vehicle to sit for 10 minutes then start again making sure A/C is on Max and blower is at highest setting. After about 8 minutes of running and with the A/C system still on, install BG Frigi-Fresh,® PN 708, into the fresh air vents on the outside of the vehicle.
  10. Shut off vehicle and allow to sit for 30 minutes before returning to customer.
NOTE: During this service you may notice foam coming out of the air vents. This is normal and the foam may leave a clean spot on leather, vinyl, plastic or fabric, but it will not harm these materials. It is suggested that the foam be wiped away whenever present.
