As advances continue to be made in the development of engines and systems on our vehicles, so do the requirements of the lubricants and cleaners needed to maintain them and keep them functioning like new.
BG Products recognizes that as these changes occur, heavier demands are made of the testing facilities available to meet the standards of such groups as American Society for Testing and Materials International (ASTM) and American Petroleum Institute (API) to achieve proper licensing and approvals.
As one of the few labs in the world accredited to run ASTM D7528, we recognized the opportunity to share our capabilities with other lubricant manufacturers. Below are two testing services we are now offering.

The Romaszewski Oil Bench Oxidation (ROBO) test is the favored test for aged oil and low temperature pumpability because it is cost effective and reliable.

Standard Test Method for Evaluation of Corrosiveness in Diesel Engine Oil at 135 °C
The High Temperature Corrosion Bench Test (HTCBT) is one of the required bench tests for the current Heavy Duty Diesel Category API CK-4 and API FA-4.
