Since the beginning, we have always included a production date on product containers. Over the years, these dates have evolved into a coded sequence of numbers. Their purpose is to provide traceability so that product quality can be tracked and maintained. As a general rule, all BG products are the most effective within two years of this date.
While petroleum products are very durable and may be quite safe to install beyond that point, we want to ensure that products are used when they are most effective.
So to quash a common myth in our business, the dates on the bottom of our products are NOT an expiration date, they are the born on date.
