Job Purpose

The purpose of the Quality Supervisor is to assist the Quality Manager in developing, implementing and maintaining quality processes that will assure BG is producing the highest quality products and meeting customer’s needs. Specifically supervising the Quality Team’s Lead, Analysts, and Technicians and their related processes.

Quality planning and monitoring the overall effectiveness of both internal and external quality programs are the major responsibilities of this position. Required to interface with all applicable parties and levels of management to improve the quality and efficiency of products and processes. 

Duties & Skills

  • Take ownership for the performance of the Quality Team
  • Exhibit character, leadership, and management skills adequate for supervision
  • Maintain adequate knowledge of Quality concepts/tools for supervision of a quality team
  • Assist Quality Manager to define and maintain:
    • Quality Processes
      • Supplier and Production Quality activities
      • Customer complaint investigations
      • Measuring and monitoring equipment
      • Control of nonconforming product
      • Investigations
      • Reporting
    • Performance standards
    • Department documents, specifications, and records
  • Train and coach subordinates
  • Evaluate subordinates’ performance, correct deficiencies, perform disciplinary action, and recommend merit increases
  • Provide necessary resources for subordinates to complete tasks
  • Delegate effectively
  • Organize, prioritize, schedule, and complete actions to meet the needs of customers
  • Coach employees on quality concepts and practices to improve culture and performance
  • Partner with internal/external processes owners to establish stable and effective processes
  • Read prints and product/process specifications
  • Perform inspection, testing, and auditing to ensure compliance to quality standards
  • Maintain, analyze, and communicate data pertinent to maintaining the quality system
  • Learn and utilize various types of software for completing tasks at a professional level (see the following examples):
    • Microsoft Office – email, meetings, calendar, analyze/record data, documents
    • Project Software – New products, revised products, process improvement,
    • Quality management – Nonconformance, corrective action, controlled documents
    • Enterprise Resource Planning – Inventory, purchase orders, sales
  • Communicate at a professional level through written and spoken English
  • Travel as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Experience in lieu of education will be considered. 
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ of experience in a supervisory role preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in a Quality role preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
  • Related ASQ certification or similar – preferred
  • Experience in high speed bottle/can packaging process preferred

This position will work in Wichita and El Dorado.
