BG Products, Inc.

WICHITA, Kan. – November 19, 2007— BG Products, Inc. appoints Robert C. Richardson as Chief Operating Officer and President Elect, effective October 15. Rob’s duties include leadership and oversight of all operational aspects of the company, reporting to Galen Myers, Chairman and CEO.

“As we modernize and expand, we need experienced industry leadership to guide and manage the many operational sectors of our business. Rob brings broad industry experience and team building skills, which will be much appreciated across our operations,” says Myers. Rob joins BG from Lubrizol, where he served in a broad range of management roles across technology, sales, and marketing.

After graduation from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan. in 1987 (B.S. Chemistry/Biology), Rob began his career at BG Products, Inc. and progressed from plant chemist to chief chemist and finally to Laboratory Manager. He was responsible for quality control, product development, and technical service. In this role, Rob expanded and instrumented the BG lab to offer used oil and fuel analysis programs for distributors, as well as computerizing the lab and developing several key product innovations including the patented BG Cool’r Clean’r® antifreeze recycling process.

Rob also spent six years in Southern California as Vice President of R&D for Wynn Oil Company. In this role, he managed laboratories in the U.S., France, and Belgium and revitalized product development and technical support. While at Wynn’s, Rob’s efforts in product development increased sales of new products to 25% of gross revenue. He personally obtained critical product approvals from key OEMs and served as Wynn’s ISO 9001 Management Representative.

Rob is a member of SAE, ASTM, NLGI, and STLE and has published technical papers, chaired committees, and received speaking awards within several of these industry groups. He holds seven U.S. and foreign patents.

Rob, his wife Wendy and their children, Chad and Alyssa, will move to Wichita from Houston over the next year.
