A midwestern work ethic, a small-town sense of responsibility.

While BG's operational reach is now global, our home remains squarely in the heartland. Just as BG distributors have shown themselves long-standing corporate citizens of their worldwide hometowns, the people at BG headquarters are active in the good works of south-central Kansas.

Any large business of good conscience can point to financial contributions in support of worthy local causes, but one of the great joys of doing business in Kansas' largest city lies in our company's ability for involvement on a very personal level. Consider, for example, BG's relationship with Wichita State University and its rowing team.

The Arkansas River flows adjacent to our manufacturing plant and administrative building at the edge of downtown Wichita. Dammed a 1/2 mile or so to the south, the river is wide, if somewhat shallow. A perfect setting for a collegiate regatta.

When the WSU rowing team could no longer be housed in a city-owned building two blocks north of our facility, BG stepped up to the plate, providing warehouse space for the storage of the WSU sculls. The BG location provided the easy access to the river that was needed for the boats. All of us at BG enjoy looking out on a spring morning to watch another set of dedicated individuals working, successfully, as a team.

BG supports the following:

  • WSU's rowing team, sports programs and President’s Club
  • WSU Kansas Science Olympiad
  • Kansas Newman Golf Tournament
  • The Kansas Foodbank
  • BG Lecture Series through Central Christian College
  • Police and Fire Dept. Fishing Tournament
  • Company and voluntary employee United Way contributions
  • Neighborhood beautification
  • American Cancer Society through the Cattleman's Ball Fundraiser
  • YMCA
  • Wichita River Festival
